Frequently Asked Questions

What is babywearing?

Babywearing is the practice of carrying your baby in a carrier or wrap that keeps them safely positioned against your body. Many families find that babywearing supports bonding, mobility, and everyday caregiving while keeping their hands free.

What happens during a babywearing consultation?

During a consultation we will focus on helping you carry your baby safely and comfortably.

Sessions may include:

  • learning safe baby positioning

  • adjusting your carrier for a better fit

  • troubleshooting discomfort or baby fussiness

  • exploring different carrier options

  • learning new carries as your baby grows

Every session is personalized to you, your baby, and your goals.

Do I need to already own a baby carrier?

No! You’re welcome to bring any carriers you already have, but you do not need to purchase one before your consultation.

I will bring a variety of carriers and wraps from my library for you to try.

When is the best time to schedule a consultation?

You can schedule support at any stage, including:

  • during pregnancy (prenatal preparation)

  • with a newborn

  • when baby begins rolling

  • when ready for back carrying

  • during the toddler stage

Many families choose to schedule support early so they can start babywearing confidently once they are home.
